Water Damage – St. Petersburg Apartment
Water damage occurred at this St. Petersburg apartment when a window allowed a great deal of rainwater to enter into the wall space surrounding the window. So much rainwater was absorbed by the drywall that it needed to be torn out and disposed of properly. The apartment unit was unrented when the incident occurred, so water was left standing on the laminate flooring for some time. It also was too damaged to be restored and needed to be replaced. The water would be suctioned up, and drying equipment such as commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be employed to dry the area thoroughly. An antimicrobial agent would be applied to inhibit any possible mold growth from the water damage. Finally, new drywall and flooring would be installed.
